That’s how allmite gold was born. A savoury spread that’s rich, creamy, full of umami flavour and nothing like the other guys. Lower in salt and sugar, higher in nutritional value, and designed to stand out, not blend in.

In the thick of lockdown, two Auckland friends Shannon and Laura found themselves in the same breakfast rut each morning. Both were experiencing toast fatigue. The duo found that the spreads on offer they had at home were either too bland, too salty, too sweet or trying way too hard to be healthy.
So the pair did what any self-respecting food-obsessed duo with FMCG experience and a rebellious streak would do.
They decided to make their our own.
Shannon got to work in the kitchen, whipping up experimental batches with tahini, turmeric, nutritional yeast, and a dash of apple cider vinegar. Meanwhile, Laura dreamed up a brand that could shake up the breakfast aisle, a premium brand that was unapologetically bold with a nod to yeast spreads.

The duo knew they were onto something when people started calling it a new pantry essential followed with a strong obession. They knew they were really onto something when two major multinational spread giants tried to shut them down. Yep, just two months after launch, they were hit with trademark threats from both of the big mites.
But they stood their ground. And they’re still here.
Since then, they’ve expanded the allmite gold range with two additional flavours to meet customer needs, allmite gold mild chilli and also three seed. The team also continue to scale operations and continue to do waht they love... Making spreads that bring joy to breakfast tables and beyond.
A small team with big ambitions, they bottle by hand, obsess over quality, and never compromise on flavour.
Because life’s too short for boring toast.
